The Wanderers saved their worst performance of the season for Saturday, when they were defeated by 39 points to 8 away at Llandeilo.

After conceding an early penalty, the Wanderers opened their account with a fine individual try from wing Adam Thomas, who used his pace to touch down after a kick and chase from the halfway line.

The match was fairly even from this point until two incidents late in the first half. With the score at 11 points to 8 in favour of the home side after Nick Macey added a penalty, the Wanderers just failed to tie the scores with a penalty from half way and with some 50 minutes being mysteriously played in the first half, a misunderstanding between wing and centre, with the full back off injured, allowed Llandeilo to score under the posts and to go into the break 18 points to 8 up.

Not a lot could be said about the Wanderers second half performance, as it was a catalogue of errors and poor decision making which allowed Llandeilo to dictate most aspects of play and run out worthy winners.

The only plus point was that they kept trying up to the final whistle, but again mistakes at crucial times prevented any type of consolation score.

Hopefully, with a hard weeks training and the return of some players, the Wanderers can re-group and put up a better performance at home to Morriston on Saturday.
